Jack Bastian's story proposal

Peter Clarkson is a struggling musician waiting for his big break.  He plays regularly at a small jazz club, owned by his parents, in New York but he has never played in front of an audience much larger than 50 people.  He formed a piano trio that fills up his parents club.  But the only reason anyone comes to the concerts is to see the amazing drummer.  He is immensely talented.  More than he even realizes.  Until one day, Samuel Jones, a famous jazz pianist walks into the club and hears the amazing sounds coming from Peters drum set.  He stays around after the show to talk to Peter.  He asks him if he would consider playing with his trio.  Peter is in pure disbelief.  Samuel Jones had played with the best of the best and now Samuel was the best of the best.  Peter agrees and starts practicing with him the next day.  After a few months of playing with Samuel, Peter starts to break the ties with his parents jazz club.  The audience for the shows at the club were waining because the great Peter Clarkson wouldn't be hammering away at the drums.
