Sophie's Short Story Proposal

               Peter  had dreamed of being a pilot ever since he was little. He wanted an to explore the world, and live an adventurous life. Being from a poor family, he had to work his way through pilot school- it was very hard work, but he finally achieved his goal. However, when he got a job at a commercial airline, it was not what he had hopped for. He found himself making the same few boring flights over and over again, and the airline he was working for was very corrupt. It would often trick passengers into missing their flight. The airline owners were grossly wealthy, while the employes were mistreated. When he asked his boss to be able to make flights to more exciting places, she just laughed at him. Peter desperately wanted to change to a different airline, however he was still in enormous debt from pilot school, and could not afford to quit his job. One night he came up with a plan. He would run away, and fly around the world. Slowly, piece by piece, he started stealing the parts to build a small airplane from work. Every day he would sneak a little back in his briefcase. However, not all parts were brief case-sized, so he had to go on several over night missions. It took him 13 months to gather and assemble all the right pieces. At last, he found himself needing one final part. Peter has a very close call when his boss had stayed behind at work, because he was suspicious of Peter. However, he managed to escape, and finish the airplane. The story ends with Peter flying to India
